If your child already has a diagnosis such as autism, anxiety, depression, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Downs Syndrome, ODD, PDA, or ADHD, you may wonder if they truly could benefit from therapy or if other services (outside of counseling) are a better fit.

Please track your Yes, Sometimes, or No answers to the following questions…
Is your child able to manage their emotions without daily or weekly aggressive outbursts?
Can your child express their feelings in a way you can understand?
Is your child getting good rest at night?
Are they interacting with their family and/or peers in positive ways?
Do they have things about themselves that they like and are proud of?
Are they able to move forward after challenging events in their daily life?
If you answered “Yes” to all of the above, your child likely is where they would be after spending time in therapy. (There may be concerns outside of the above.)
If any (or most) were answered with a “Sometimes” or “No” and you wish you could have answered “Yes”, I believe there is some great work to be done in therapy!
